Quality Assurance Checklist – CustomPrintline

At CustomPrintline, every order goes through our 18-point quality assurance process to ensure your products are printed with precision, consistency, and care.

1. Resolution

All artwork must be a minimum of 300 DPI to guarantee sharp, high-quality printing.

2. Image Size

We confirm that your artwork is properly scaled to the size you’ve selected.

3. Bleeds

Artwork is checked to include proper bleed and cut lines for clean, accurate trimming.

4. Borders

We review borders to ensure they meet the minimum requirement of ¼-inch plus ⅛-inch bleed for best results.

5. Watermarks

Files are checked for any watermarks or overlays that may affect final print quality.

6. Orientation

We confirm all files are oriented correctly—no upside-down or mirrored artwork.

7. Content & Safe Zone

Text and images are reviewed to make sure they sit within the safety margins and won’t be cut off.

8. Perforation & Scoring

If applicable, perforation and scoring are checked for correct placement and alignment.

9. Hole Drilling

For items like door hangers or booklets, hole placement is carefully reviewed.

10. Image Centering

We verify that images are perfectly centered for a balanced, professional look.

11. Color Options

We confirm the correct print option: 4/4 (full color both sides), 4/1 (color front, black back), or 4/0 (color front only).

12. Keylines

We ensure no visible keylines appear on the final print.

13. Ink Coverage

Files with 400% total ink coverage are adjusted to acceptable levels. Black areas are converted to Rich Black for optimal results.

14. Crop Marks

Unnecessary crop marks are removed to prevent them from appearing on the final print.

15. Dropouts

We review for missing, faded, or blurred areas in images or text.

16. Rich Black

For deep, solid black areas, we apply the correct CMYK blend (C:50 M:40 Y:40 K:100) to achieve a bold finish.

17. FPO Files

For die-cut, foil, or specialty finishing, we check that the correct FPO (For Placement Only) files are provided.

18. Mailing Indicia

For mailing projects, we verify that the indicia is accurate and correctly placed.
